'In the case of heartburn and acid reflux, the only option for Nexium is a prescription, and that doesn't necessarily mean the medication is available without a prescription,' said Goldstein.

'It's a new trend that's being launched every year in the United States,' said Goldstein. 'This is a new type of medication that's been in the medical supply for years, and it's the only prescription drug available without a prescription.'
